Located one day’s drive north of Vancouver along BC’s famous Gold Rush Trail, the Wells, Barkerville, Bowron Lakes area is easily accessible by any number of transportation options.

Whether you are driving, flying, taking the bus or taking the train, you're never very far away from one of the top tourist destinations in western Canada.


By road: 

from Quesnel on Highway 97, turn east on Highway 26 and travel 74 km to Wells, 82 km to Barkerville and 120 km to Bowron Lake. 

By air: 

nearby Quesnel and Prince George are serviced by:

  • Central Mountain Air  ( service from Vancouver
  • Westjet ( service from Vancouver and Edmonton
  • Air Canada ( serves Prince George from Vancouver 5 times a day and also has a codeshare agreement with Central Mountain Air that opens up the world to the Wells.

By ride share:
